There are many costs associated with the purchase of land in Bermuda. One of the most important issues to be resolved before you decide to purchase land in Bermuda is to determine what the legal costs will be. It is common practice for the vendor and the purchaser to split the cost of drafting the conveyance and the stamp duty payable in respect of the conveyance equally. This is not always the case however and you must be mindful of what each specific sales agreement provides in this regard.
