Overview

Called in 2007, Lewis is an experienced commercial litigation barrister who has spent his career practising onshore commercial litigation in London, and offshore Cayman Islands, BVI and Bermuda commercial litigation in Hong Kong and Bermuda.

Lewis has extensive experience of very high value commercial litigation, particularly asset recovery, fraud, director claims, trust, and insolvency matters.

Acting in a $74 million asset recovery claim.

In the matter of Jardine Strategic Holdings Ltd
Acting for investors holding $1.2 billion in shares in Bermuda’s first major share value appraisal action.

Representing the protector of the trust to secure $9 billion in trust assets in heavily contested litigation involving the largest alleged US tax fraud in history.

Hunt v Transworld
Acting for a liquidator investigating a $1 billion VAT fraud.

Athene v Siddiqui et al
Representing a director defending a $300 million breach of fiduciary duty and breach of confidence action.

Shrimpton v Dragon Capital
Defending a $100 million unfair prejudice petition.
